the 10% Challenge: People and Partners
The essence of the 10% Challenge is people-power. These local campaigns are capably led by citizens and elected officials working together and bringing their impressive networks into play. Initial sponsors have breathed life into the campaign with seed funding, expertise, and their vote of confidence in our sometimes experimental work. This page can only give you a taste of the great local leadership that bring the 10% Challenge to life.
Outreach Partners: Central Hudson Gas & Electric helped us to launch this campaign by providing seed funding, marketing materials, and their high quality business and residential energy saving programs at Savings Central. Mid-Hudson Energy$mart Communities, an outreach arm of NYSERDA, provided helpful materials and expertise in a very community-friendly way. Sponsors EarthKind Energy, SunDog Solar, Prestige Toyota, Energy Management Solutions and Waterfurnace each provided $1,000 or more in financial support plus technical expertise and credibility. Sponsors Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Omega Institute and The Solar Energy Consortium provided valuable prizes for the campaign.
