We welcome our sponsors, Luminary Publishing, the publisher of Chronogram; the Estuary Training Program, helping communities protect essential resources; and Prism Solar Technologies, one of the Hudson Valley's most innovative solar businesses with a proprietary thin-film holographic solar technology for efficient, affordable solar electricity.
About Luminary Publishing:
Luminary Publishing was born in the summer of 1993, with the aim of nourishing and supporting the creative and cultural life of the Hudson Valley. One of the company's projects is the free, monthly Chronogram - "A Mid-Hudson Magazine of Events and Ideas." The magazine is distributed in counties abutting the mighty Hudson River, including Ulster, Dutchess, Greene, Columbia, Orange and Putnam. In addition, Luminary Publishing produces Hudson Valley Healthy Living, a directory of health products and services in the Mid-Hudson Valley. This publication is free and published biannually - in April and October of each year. In 2003 Luminary Publishing created and launched Upstate House magazine (now New York House). The title was sold in 2006. Luminary Publishing, Inc.'s mission is to disseminate material that nourishes and support the creative life of our region and in the world, and to demonstrate a paradigm of that creativity in action.

About Prism Solar:
Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. manufactures a new type of photovoltaic module that uses transparent holographic optical elements in its design. This innovative, patented holographic technology, collects and spectrally selects useful wavelengths from the sun and focuses them onto the cell to create electricity.
Prism recently won an Achievement Award voted on by the review panel of Venture Capital firms at the “NEW ENERGY SYMPOSIUM & SOLAR EXPO” held in Albany New York at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering ("CNSE") of the University at Albany. Designed to showcase both the growing importance of alternative energy technologies and New York's leadership in developing and supporting clean and renewable energy companies, the New Energy Symposium was presented by New Energy New York ("NENY") and CNSE's Energy and Environmental Technology Applications Center ("E2TAC").

About the Estuary Training Program of NYSDEC Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve:
The Estuary Training Program seeks to enhance the scientific knowledge, technical capacity, and process skills of professionals involved in making decisions that affect the habitats, shore lands, water quality and other natural resources of the Hudson River Estuary. The program provides training opportunities to municipal officials, natural resource mangers, engineers and consultants and land managers. The Training Program is located at Norrie Point Environmental Center in Staatsburg, NY.
Hudson River habitats are affected by inputs from the watershed via land use, resultant storm water flow and non-point source pollution of tributaries and streams. Habitats are threatened by climate change, sea level rise and storm surges. The program provides content and process skills training to decision makers the skills and capacity to address these issues. Examples include public issues and conflict management, ecosystem based management; community based social marketing; and project design and evaluation, invasive species, and habitat friendly shoreline stabilization options.
