Prior toemployment with Prism, she was the regional coordinator for NYSERDA'sMid-Hudson Energy Smart Communities program. She is a LEED accreditedprofessional, regularly publishes articles on energy issues, and has a M.S. inEnvironmental Policy from Bard College. She will discuss the diverse careerpaths in renewable energy and the ways she has self-educated to move her owncareer forward.

The popular instructor for SUNY Ulster’s SustainableBuilding Advisor training, Mr. Cooper is a specialist in building ventilationand indoor air quality and provides a range of consulting expertise fromforensic investigation of building failures to ventilation and indoor airquality design in high performance and sustainable “green” buildings. A BoardCertified Industrial Hygienist, he routinely provides impartial health andsafety evaluations involving chemical exposures, biological exposures, mold inbuildings, and occupational safety. Mr. Cooper is an ASHRAE High PerformanceBuilding Design Professional, a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor and aLEED AP-ND&C. He will talk about the diverse career paths in greenbuilding.

Barry Henck is an Energy Efficiency Marketing Specialist atCentral Hudson Gas & Electric. He is currently working on two energyefficiency programs, for homes and businesses, which are detailed on the Website www.SavingsCentral.com. Henck has been working in communications,writing and web development at Central Hudson for the past five years. He waspreviously employed as a newspaper editor with Hudson Valley Newspapers, whichbased in Hudson, NY. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern NazareneCollege in Boston, MA, and a Master’s degree in English from SUNY NewPaltz. He will discussenergy-efficiency and cleantech careers at Central Hudson and the kinds offirms that contract with these innovative programs.
