RED HOOK - The Town and Village of Red Hook have become the first communities to adopt a new energy-saving campaign, the Ten Percent Challenge.

The Town of New Paltz is looking for more lights to turn off. The villages of Maybrook, Montgomery and Walden are following the example of the Town of Warwick and encouraging people to measure their energy use and then cut it by 10 percent. The campaign includes information on how to pay for energy-saving improvements.
