HHRT is an inter-municipal association dedicated to advancing the common interests of river front communities in the Hudson Valley. Its objectives include managing the demands of development and its impacts, promoting tourism as an economic development initiative, enhancing waterfront access and fostering downtown revitalization. Barney is a board member of the Hudson River Estuary’s Management Advisory Committee as well as the NYS Greenway’s Waterfront Advisory Committee. He previously served as CEO of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation and has served on several local planning and zoning boards.
