The Hudson Valley is home to 2.2 million people and abundant plant and animal life. Surrounding a majestic, myth-inspiring river that is one of ten designated as American Heritage Rivers, the Valley is a beloved place.

In the fall of 2007, this section will rapidly expand with data, analysis, stories and pictures that help us build a picture of the Hudson River Valley for use in education, advocacy, policymaking, research - and pure appreciation.
