Sustainable Hudson Valley has re-launched Solarize Hudson Valley, a program to make it easier and more convenient to go solar.

Solarize Hudson Valley opened up the marketplace ten years ago, helping nearly 400 households go solar.

Now, more than ever, installing solar panels on your roof can help lower your electricity bill and express your values on your roof. Your panels are usually paid off in 8-10 years but can last up to 25 years.

The 2026 campaign of active education and hand-holding will help households and businesses to get the best price and design with the least hassle. For a pilot three-month period, we are partnering with Lighthouse Solar, a NYSERDA Platinum installer that works extensively with mid-Hudson households. Kiara Carman, a certified Rewiring America Electrification Coach, will be dedicated to helping households learn about the economics, financing and what’s possible on their site.
